Using the Social History Annotation Corpus (SHAC), Track 2: Extracting Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) explores the extraction of SDOH from clinical notes, including substance use (alcohol, drug, tobacco), employment, and living status information.

The Learning Transfer Subtask (Track 2C) will explore learning transfer from one institution to another. Participants will be provided the same MIMIC-III training set (D^mimic/_train), as well as a UW training set (D^uw/_train). Extraction performance will be evaluated on a new UW test set (D^uw/_test-c).

Participating teams are required to sign the n2c2 Rules of Conduct, MIMIC DUA, and UW DUA.
